The win keeps the Cowboys alive in the NFC East despite having a record of just 4-8, while the three teams tied for first, the Redskins, Giants and Eagles, are all 5-7.

NEW YORK (AP) — The finalists for the Heisman Trophy were announced yesterday. The trio features Alabama running back Derrick Henry, Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson and Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey. The Heisman will be awarded Saturday night in New York.

UNDATED (AP) — The AP men’s and women’s Top-25 basketball polls were released yesterday. Remaining No. 1 in the women’s poll is Connecticut while Michigan State is now the top team in the men’s poll. This is the first time since the 2013-14 season that MSU has been No. 1 for the men.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Unbeaten Golden State looks to extend its start of the season streak to 23 games tonight. The league champion Warriors are still on the road with a game this evening against the Pacers in Indianapolis.

NEW YORK (AP) — There’s a doubleheader in Madison Square Garden tonight featuring three-ranked teams from the men’s AP basketball poll. In the second-half of the twin bill, 10th-ranked Virginia is facing No. 14 West Virginia, while in the first-game in the big city, sixth-ranked Maryland is playing Connecticut.
