Hanahan man killed in hit and run

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A man was hit and killed by a car on Sunday, February 11th and law enforcement are still searching for the driver responsible.

Around 8:00pm, Hanahan police were trying to stop a Chrysler 200 when the vehicle was traveling east on Robinson street.. The vehicle crossed over Remount Road and hit the pedestrian who was crossing Read street.

Rosael Gutierrez-Toledo, 35 years old, of Hanahan, originally from Mexico, was struck by the vehicle and pronounced at the scene.

The cause of his cause of death is blunt force trauma. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating.
