North Charleston fire under control within 10 minutes

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — A fire on Midland Park Road is now extinguished, according to officials.

At approximately 7:48 a.m. on February 13,  the North Charleston Fire Department responded to a single family structure fire located at 2665 Midland Park Road in North Charleston.

“First arriving units reported light smoke showing, the fire was under control within 10 minutes, and contained to one room only,” according to Fire Marshal Cindy Killette.

No injuries were reported.

The American Red Cross was contacted to assist with five adults and three children.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
