NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The North Charleston Police Department is investigating following a shooting, Thursday night.
Just before 11 p.m. on February 8, officers responded to the 3500 block of Admiral Drive in reference to gunshots being heard in the area.
Authorities found a male victim lying just inside of a doorway suffering from gunshot wounds, according to spokesman Spencer Pryor.
The victim told police he did not know or see who shot him.
“Residents advised police they observed a blue in color 4 door vehicle and a gold in color crossover leave at a high rate of speed after the gunshots were heard,” Pryor said.
Medics transported the victim to the Medical Unversity of South Carolina for treatment.
Medical personnel found a little more than an ounce of marijuana on the victim.
