62-year-old man stuck, killed on Ashley Phosphate Road

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — A 62-year-old North Charleston is dead following a fatal auto-pedestrian accident, Thursday night.

Troopers say just after 8 p.m. on February 1, a pedestrian, later identified as Richard Nailling, was trying to cross the street at Ashley Phosphate and Stratton Drive when they were hit by the driver of a 2016 Hyundai.

Nailling was pronounced dead at the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Dorchester County Coroner’s Office are investigating the accident.
