Water stations reopen in Awendaw/McClellanville area

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Two water dispenser stations have opened up in Charleston County.

One is located at 10009 Hwy 17 at Fire Station 4, the other at 911 South Santee Road, at Fire Station 6, according to the Awendaw/McClellanville Fire District.

Awendaw/McClellanville staff, certified by DHEC, will maintain the stations.

Back in December, water distribution stations in the area were temporarily closed after Mount Pleasant Waterworks stopped conducting daily water tests, which are now required by the Department of Health and Environmental Control.
