RIDGEVILLE, S.C. (WCBD)- According to South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) one person was killed in a traffic collision at the intersection of US Highway 176 and Mudville Road on Friday evening. Troopers say the crash happened at 6:40 PM when the driver of a 2007 Chrysler 300 ran a stop sign, and was struck on the driver’s side by a 2005 Ford tow truck.
According to SCHP, both drivers were wearing their seat belts. The driver of the tow truck was not injured and the driver of the Chrysler was dead when officials arrived at the scene. This crash is currently under investigation by SCHP.
