14-year-old boy dies from sledding injuries, gives life to others

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A 14-year-old boy died following a winter weather related crash in St. George.

Brandon Peacock was being pulled on an upside down automobile hood behind a four wheeler ATV in the snow on Wednesday. According to Peacock’s family, the ski rope attached to the ATV broke sending Peacock into a parked truck.

The teenager was taken to Trident Medical Center, and later transferred to Medical University Hospital in Charleston where he was pronounced dead on January 6, 2018.

On Monday, doctors transferred 6 of Peacock’s organs to children in need.

His family says their son fulfilled his dream of being  a superhero.
