UPDATED: Closings and cancellations due to weather

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –  Due to the weather the following locations will be closed and cancellations have been announced.

SCHOOLS:

  • Academy At El-Shaddai: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • Ashley River Baptist Child Development Center: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • Ashley Hall: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Addlestone Hebrew Academy: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Berkeley County School District: will operate on a 2 hour delay, Monday, January 8.
  • Blessed Sacrament Catholic School: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • Bishop England High School: Closed on Thursday, January 4.
  • College of Charleston: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • The Citadel: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Colleton County School District:  to close Monday, January 8th and operate on a Two-hour Delay Tuesday, January 9th.
  • Charles Webb Center: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • Charleston County School District: will have a delayed start Monday, January 8th, and ALL STAFF should report no eariler than 10:00 a.m.
  • Charleston School of Law: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Charleston Southern University: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Charleston Cosmetology Institute: Closed on Thursday, January 4.
  • College of Charleston: Closed on Friday, January 5. Only faculty and staff members identified as essential personnel (primarily those in the areas of residence life, food services, public safety and physical plant) should report to the downtown campus on Friday
  • Colleton County School District: Closed on Friday, January 5.
  • Coastal Carolina University: Will operate on a delayed schedule beginning 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5.
  • Dorchester County School District 2: will be closed on Jauary 8th.
  • Dorchester School District 4: will be closed Monday January 8.
  • ECPI University Charleston campus: Closed on Friday, January 5. The campus will reopen Saturday, January 6. Classes will resume on regular schedule Monday, January 8,
  • First Baptist School of Charleston: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Georgetown County School District:  will operate on a two-hour delay for students on Monday, January 8. Buses will run on a two-hour delay. All employees are to report at their regular times. Schools will be open at their regular times for students who need to be dropped off.
  • James Island Christian School: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • Lowcountry Community Action Agency, Inc, Main office and Head Start Centers: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • Little People Big World Academy of Ladson: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • MUSC University campus and outpatient clinics: Closed on Thursday, January 4. Hospitals will remain open.
  • Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Palmetto Christian Academy: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Pinewood Preparatory School: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Stepping Stone: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • St. John’s Christian Academy: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Summerville Baptist Preschool: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Sea Island Comprehensive Daycare and Care at Home Program: Closed on Thursday, January 4

  • Boeing South Carolina: has suspended all operations for Friday, January 5.
  • Boone Hall Plantation: closed on Friday, January 5
  • Bosch: Closed on Thursday, January 4; will reopen at 10 am on Fri Jan 5.
  • CARTA: Will begin operations at noon on Jan. 5. There will be no morning Express service. Rural bus service provider TriCounty Link will not run on Friday, Jan. 5.
  • Carolina Center for Occupational Health: Closed on Thursday, January 4
  • Charleston County Government: Will resume normal operations on Monday, Jan. 8.
  • Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission parks and facilities: will remain closed through Sunday, January 7.
  • Charleston Gastroenterology Specialists: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Charleston Endoscopy Center: Closed on Friday, January 5
  • Children’s Museum: Closed on Thursday, January 4
