CHARLESTON, SC (WCBD) – The Lowcountry chapter of Hike It Baby is here to encourage and help parents to get outdoors with their young children. The goal is to raise a generation to love the outdoors.
The groups began in Portland, Oregon and now has 300 Hike it Baby groups across the country and close to 180,000 families involved. They meet up for hikes, outdoor walks and meet ups… anything outdoors!
The group not only organizes the meet ups, but also can assist in guiding parents and guardians on the equipment they need to take their babies and young children out in nature.
And Hike It Baby, isn’t just for parents. They welcome everyone from moms, dads, grandparents, nannies, foster parents, relatives, and friends to participate.
