SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – A special holiday market will be held on Saturday, December 16 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. behind Town Hall. Although the regular 2017 Summerville Farmers Market season has now ended, the upcoming one-day Holiday Market will give the community an opportunity to shop for gifts and goodies for the season.
Tim Orvin, Assistant Manager of Parks & Recreation says that, “our vendors are excited to share unique holiday items as well as goods shoppers might find at our regular farmers market.” The Parks & Recreation Department has over 75 vendors signed up to sell everything from decorations and gifts to produce, artisan cheese and local honey. Live music will be performed by the Charleston Hot Shots, a skiffle jazz band, in the Market Café from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and several prepared food vendors will be present.
Residents and visitors are reminded that parking is free year-round in the deck located off Short Central Avenue. The parking deck can be accessed from Richardson Avenue located off Main Street in historic downtown Summerville.
