North Charleston shooting under investigation

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) —The North Charleston Police Department is continuing to investigate a shooting that happened Sunday afternoon on Shady Tree Lane.

According to Spencer Pryor, the Public Information Officer for the North Charleston Police Department, officers found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm when they arrived on scene around 3 p.m. Sunday. Authorities believe there was also a second victim, but they believe that person ran into the woods and was not located.

According to Pryor, a man was seen running from the area where the shooting happened and getting into a car to leave, the car was later stopped by officers in West Ashley.

Three people inside of that car were detained.
