Police: Lock your car doors; thieves are looking for weapons

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WBCD) — The Charleston Police is warning you to lock your cars.

Authorities say thieves are going into cars looking for guns. The weapons are then sold to criminals.

We’re told thieves stole more than 80 guns from of vehicles this year.

About half came from ones that weren’t locked.

The City of Charleston will give you gun locks for free through Project Child Safe.
