MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) — An incident report is shedding light on a reported attempted robbery in Mount Pleasant, Tuesday morning.

According to Charleston County Dispatch, Mount Pleasant Police responded to the Circle K on Mathis Ferry Road at 3:31 a.m. on June 20 in reference to a “suspicious incident”.

We’re told a male entered the business asked a store employee for money from the safe.

“I need you to open the safe,” the suspect reportedly told the store clerk.

The male then vanished, leaving the store towards Bowman Road.
