Suspect arrested following shoplifting incident at Mount Pleasant shopping center

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) — Authorities responded to a reported theft in Mount Pleasant, Monday morning.

According to the Charleston County Consolidated Dispatch,  Mount Pleasant Police was called to the Market at Oakland Shopping Center in the 3000 block of Proprietors Place just after 4 a.m. on June 12.

According to Inspector Chip Googe, the incident was a shoplifting where the suspect ran but he was arrested moments later.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
