1 person dead following North Charleston fire

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — Fire investigators are working to determine what sparked a fire in North Charleston, Thursday morning.

The North Charleston Fire Department responded to the 2000 block of Bailey Drive at 4:45 a.m. on June 8.

According to Fire Chief Greg Bulanow, the body of one person was removed from the home.

We are working to learn the identity of the victim from the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
