A man was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head after a shooting in North Charleston early Wednesday.
Police responded to a shots fired call on Captain Avenue just after 4 a.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim bleeding in a bedroom.
Other residents told the officers that they woke up to several gunshots being fired outside the home.
At least two bullets hit the residence. One of them struck the victim after going into a wall. A car outside the home was also hit by bullets.
Police found shell casings in the road nearby.
