Brick thrown through gas station window; register snatched from counter

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston Police Department is searching for the person responsible for a burglary of a gas station in downtown Charleston Wednesday morning.

Authorities say officers responded to the Circle K on East Bay street on May 3 at 4:04 a.m.

We’re told the suspect threw a brick through the front glass door of the convenience store, entered through the door, grabbed a cash register and fled back through the front door.

Store employees told investigators that the suspect fled across East Bay Street and was running down South Street.
