BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — A stolen trailer is recovered and a Moncks Corner man is now in jail facing several charges.
James Clifton Dunahoe, 31, is charged with obtaining money by false pretense and receiving stolen goods over $2,000.
Authorities say on Monday, November 28, an enclosed trailer was stolen from the driveway of a Stony Landing home in Moncks Corner. A green Ford Expedition was seen towing the trailer away.
We’re told after a photo of the Expedition and trailer was posted on the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Facebook page, multiple tips came in and detectives were able to locate the trailer at the Fast Money Pawn Shop in the Summerville.
“We wanted to thank the members of the community that helped in this recovery.” Berkeley County Sheriff Duane Lewis said. “The feedback we get from y’all is outstanding and appreciated. Working together, we can continue to make Berkeley County a great place to live, work and play,” he added.
We’re told all of the items from inside of the trailer were found and recovered.
Donahue is now being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
