Lanes reopened after collision on the Ravenel Bridge

Charleston, SC (WCBD)- Lanes have reopened after a collision on the Ravenel Bridge.

SCDOT reported that the two right lanes of traffic on US 17 South-bound were closed while the accident was cleared.

According to Mount Pleasant police, a motor scooter broke down on the bridge and an SUV stopped to assist the scooter driver.

While stopped, a van hit the back of the SUV, which in turn hit the motor scooter.

Mount Pleasant police, fire, and EMS responded.

There were some cuts and scrapes, but everyone was cleared of injuries at the scene.

The call came in at 1:38 p.m.
