Victim’s brother charged in North Charleston shooting

North Charleston, SC (WCBD)- North Charleston police are investigating the shooting death of a man in North Charleston.

Authorities found the body of 24-year-old Tre Desaussure of North Charleston when they responded to a call just before 2 a.m. in a parking lot in the 4700 block area of Lambs Rd. 

Charleston County Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton says Desaussure died from a gunshot wound. 

The body was found next to a privacy fence.
North Charleston Police arrested and charged 28-year-old Marquis Desaussure with Murder and Possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police say the brothers had an altercation which lead to Marquis shooting his brother. He then left the scene.

Police found Marquis and his vehicle near Pine Crest Apartments.

A bond hearing is set for Monday at 10 am.
