23-year-old hit-and-run victim in Summerville dies, search is on for suspect

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — Authorities are searching for the person responsible for a deadly hit-and-run in Summerville.

Police spokesman Lieutenant Nick Santanna says on Thursday, November 24 at 12:30 a.m., Brett Farmer, 23, was struck by a vehicle near the entrance to Azalea Square Shopping Center on Holiday Drive.

Medics transported Farmer to a local hospital where he later died.

The driver responsible for the incident left the scene of the collision, Santanna added.

Investigators do not know at the time the make and model of the vehicle but it should have front end damage.
