SCHP trooper hospitalized following crash on I-26

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to I-26 and Rutledge Ave. on Sunday morning, in reference to a collision involving a South Carolina Highway Patrol Trooper.

According to initial reports, the Trooper was in his Tahoe on I-26 near Rutledge Ave., when it was struck from behind by a Cadillac Seville causing minor injuries to the Trooper. Both drivers were transported to the Medical University of South Carolina to treated for minor injuries.
