Burn ban expands to entire state of SC

COLUMBIA, SC (WSPA) – The South Carolina Forestry Commission is expanding their burning ban which has been place to Piedmont counties only is being extended to the entire state.

The ban for the rest of the state goes into effect at 6:00am Saturday morning.

The ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including yard debris.

Campfires and open-fire cooking are not included in the ban but the Forestry Commission urges against these fires.
