No injuries in police officer involved crash on James Island

JAMES ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) — No one was injured in the collision involving a police officer in James Island Friday morning.

According to Charleston County Dispatch, the incident occurred on Riverland Dr. near George Griffith Blvd.

The call came in at 4:11 a.m. Dispatch says the officer’s car was grazed by another vehicle, which later struck a shed on the1900 block of Fergusan Road near McIntyre Road.

Charleston Police and South Carolina Highway Patrol are responding to the scene. Dispatch confirmed EMS crews are not responding.
