Wounded deputy Gist to share story for first time

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Berkeley County Sheriff’s deputy who was shot eight times on while responding to a call will share her story for the first time.

Corporal Kimber Gist will speak at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 17 at the Whitfield Center for Christian Leadership on the campus of Charleston Southern University.

Gist is a criminal justice student at CSU.

The event is open to the public. Space is limited.
