BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Commuters driving from Berkeley County to Charleston will be greatly delayed for the next couple days, according to The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office. The reason is because the CSX tracks along NAD Road at Highway 52 are being repaired.
NAD Road was closed for several days, but reopened around 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, according to CSX officials.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of major traffic delays. Officials say local officials did not have input on the decision. CSX had to perform track maintenance.
There is no set date for the maintenance to be completed. Sheriff’s officials ask for drivers to have patience.
