BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to release more information about a deadly plane crash that took place July 2015 in Berkeley County.
The agency will hold a hearing Tuesday, November 15 in Washington, D.C.
Authorities say the crash happened after an F-16 and a Cessna collided mid-air killing 68-year-old Michael Johnson and his son 30-year-old son Joseph.
In previous reports, investigators said the two pilots most likely did not see each other until it was too late. They added there was a possible one to four-second window where they did see each other just before impact.
An attorney with Motley Rice tells News 2 there is a lawsuit. They have also been in negotiations with the government about a settlement.
