BEVERLY HILLS, Fla. (WFLA) – Citrus County firefighters are responding to a car that is sinking in a large water-filled hole.
It happened around 7:30 a.m. in Beverly Hills.
A water-filled hole formed in the road in front of a home at 11 Truman Blvd.
The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office said the hole was caused by water from a broken water main.
Photos show a white car sinking in the water.
Authorities say the people in the car got out safely.
Citrus County Sheriff’s Office deputies, firefighters, road crews and workers with the local water company are at the scene.
Truman Blvd. is closed from South Washington Street to South Barbour Street.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
