The small town vote: Kingstree

KINGSTREE, SC (WCBD) – A ninety minute drive north on Highway 52 from Charleston gets you to Kingstree, South Carolina.

The small town in Williamsburg County has a little more than 3,000 people according to the latest census and each of them have a different take on the 2016 election.

Many voters we spoke to in Kingstree said they were not pleased with either candidate, but that they would vote for whichever party they have supported in the past.

Kingstree is historically conservative. However, it is in Williamsburg County which is a part of Rep. Jim Clyburn’s (D) congressional district.
