Local elementary students violate school drug policy

DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) –Several students at Eagle Next Elementary School are facing disciplinary action.

According to Dorchester District 2, the students are accused of having sugar mixed with powdered Kool-Aid, which resembled drugs.

According to the student handbook: “No student will market or distribute any substance which is represented to be or is substantial similar in color, shape, size or markings of a controlled substance…look alike substance or substances that mimic the effect of drugs will be treated as illegal substances.”

District officials say they cannot share the exact disciplinary actions each child faces due to their ages.
