Victim identified in Goose Creek homicide, autopsy scheduled for Thursday

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The Berkeley County Coroner has identified the man who was found dead in his Goose Creek bedroom.

Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 8:13 a.m. on Wednesday morning from a person who was concerned about their neighbor.

According to Coroner Salisbury, Samuel Grant, 58, was found lying on his bed inside his home on Howe Hall Road. It appeared he had been shot.

Deputies arrived to the home on Howe Hall Road, near Ruby Ridge Lane in Goose Creek, and found a middle aged man deceased.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, November 3.

The Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death.
