West Ashley HS student to perform his magic act at Coastal Carolina Fair

LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) — West Ashley High School senior Caleb Milligan will be showcasing his magic act, Caleb Alexander – Illusionist, at the Coastal Carolina Fair.

Milligan was given this opportunity through Youth Entrepreneurship South Carolina, or YEScarolina. YEScarolina was founded in 1998 by Jimmy Bailey as a nonprofit dedicated to teaching the principles of entrepreneurship and free enterprise to middle school and high school students of South Carolina. YEScarolina hosts competitions where students produce a business plan and present it to a panel of judges in order to receive sponsorships to fund their new business.

Milligan has been had a love of magic since the age of 3 when he received his first magic kit from his mom. He will perform his act, which is made up of a number of tricks and illusions, over the entire run of this year’s Coastal Carolina Fair. He has performed numerous times in many different locations; He has performed at a West Ashley High School pep rally, the Windjammer, halftime of a Harlem Globetrotters game at the North Charleston Coliseum, and booked and coordinated a 50-stop tour across the state of South Carolina this past summer.

Milligan will perform throughout the week at the Parkway Stage on the following dates: October 27 at 5 p.m.; October 28 at 5 p.m.; October 29 at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.; October 30 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.; October 31 at 6 p.m.; November 1 at 6 p.m.; November 2 at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.; November 3 at 5:30 p.m.; November 4 at 6 p.m.; November 5 1:30 p.m.; November 6 at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The show will take place at the Parkway Stage at the Exchange Park Fair Grounds, 9850 US-78, Ladson, S.C.
