CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston County Mosquito Control is scheduled to begin aerial spraying in West Ashley and Ravenel on Tuesday, November 1.
The spraying is set to be conducted between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 2 will be the backup day if there are any issues with the spraying on Tuesday.

According to the Charleston County website, more than 50 species of mosquitos live in Charleston County, with 30 of those known to bite people and pets.
Natural sites can produce up to 8 million mosquitoes per acre per rainfall or tide event. People in the Lowcountry have seen this first-hand following Hurricane Matthew.
