CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) –Current Charleston County Chairman Elliott Summey says he is not running for the position next year.
Summey, remains on the November ballot for county council and is running unopposed.
The politician wishes to remain a member of the council but no longer hold the chairman position. Summey says that others should have the opportunity and that position of Chairman should rotate.
Summey has served as chairman for two years.
