Georgetown, S.C. (WCBD) –An ongoing investigation conducted by the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of Robert William Lambert.
36-years- old Lambert of Georgetown has been arrested for armed robbery due to an incident that occurred on May 25 2016, when Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an armed robbery at The Dollar General located at 8003 N Fraser St. on.
Witnesses indicated a white male, Approximately 5‘ 9”, heavy build wearing a camouflage jacket, grey sweatshirt and dark pants entered the establishment, presented a small handgun and demanded money and cigarettes from the clerk. The clerk provided the items and the suspect fled the establishment.
Lambert has been charged with one count of Armed Robbery, and one count of Possession Deadly Weapon During Commission of a Crime.
Mr. Lambert was located and taken into custody by deputies on Saturday and was transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center.
