NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston man facing murder charges is scheduled to appear in bond court on Thursday morning, after he was extradited from New York to Charleston on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, October 19, Shatario Copeland, 33, served an arrest warrant at the Charleston County Detention Center for the June 3 murder of Karriem Mitchell, 32.
Mitchell was fatally shot at the Max Quick located on McMilan Avenue in North Charleston.
Investigators report that the victim and a male suspect were involved in an altercation which led to the suspect shooting the victim
Copeland was arrested on July 8 in Brooklyn, New York.
