GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) — Fire crews are on the scene of an apartment fire in Goose Creek.
The fire broke out on Thursday morning at the Pine Harbour Apartments on Harbour Lake Drive, according to Goose Creek City Fire Department officials.
Goose Creek City Fire is assisting Goose Creek Rural Fire crews.
This is the same apartment complex where a meth lab exploded in 2012, killing three people.
The American Red Cross has sent disaster-trained volunteers to assist about 36 people affected in the seven apartments.
Of those assisted, 14 are adults and 22 are children.
The American Red Cross is providing them with financial assistance for food, clothing, and other essentials, as well as comfort kits.
They also urge everyone to check their smoke alarms as well as prepare a fire escape plan and practice fire drills at home.
