(WCBD)— Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s almost time to take kids trick or treating.
But before your kids start filling up their favorite pillow case with candy, parents should research the the nutritional value of the candy.
While no candy is truly healthy, as foods of minimal nutritional value, meaning they contain less than 5 percent of the recommended daily allowance of eight key nutrients. Compared to one another, some types of candies are better than others. Candies were ranked on the quality of its ingredients, its potential to cause tooth decay, and its irresistibility (promoting a risk of overeating).
