DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — Dorchester School District Two Board of Trustees completed the annual evaluation of Superintendent Joe Pye and discussed his performance for the 2015-2016 school year at a called board meeting and executive session on Monday.
The board rated Pye’s performance as “superior.” As a part of the evaluation process, each board member had the opportunity to meet individually with Mr. Pye to discuss his job performance in meeting all expectations and completing the goals and objectives that were set forth for 2015-2016. The board will compose a letter summarizing the Superintendent’s evaluation and present it at the board meeting on Monday, October 24.
As a result of their satisfaction with Pye, the board voted to extend his contract of an additional year, or until June 30, 2019 with the current contractual terms remaining in effect.
Mr. Pye is in his seventeenth year as Superintendent of Dorchester School District Two, and has worked as an educator in the district for more than forty years.
