South Carolina (NBC News)- Today Walmart is again offering free health check-ups at more than 4,600 of its stores nationwide after a huge turnout during last year’s event.
The newly named Walmart wellness day is taking place Saturday from noon to 4 p-m local time.
Customers can receive free blood pressure, glucose and vision screenings where available, along with product samples and information on health insurance options.
Licensed pharmacists will also be on hand to provide immunizations such as flu shots in all Walmart pharmacies in the United States.
Walmart says last year it conducted nearly 52,000 immunizations, more than 280,000 screenings, and detected more than 7,000 cases of high blood pressure.
