CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — A new Netflix comedy is being filmed in Charleston, and they’re looking to cast background actors.

As of now, the film is called “The Untitled Marlon Wayans Project.”

The production is hiring locals in the Charleston area as background actors, and will not cover any traveling costs for out-of-town participants. Background actors should commit to a full day of filming.

The next casting call is for Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23.

The pay rate is $68 for up to eight hours, with time and a half beyond that.

Filming in the Lowcountry was scheduled to begin October 10, but was delayed due to Hurricane Matthew, and is expected to continue through the end of November.
