ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) — The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the man wanted in connection with a high-speed vehicle pursuit in September.
Bobby Miller, 38, of Orangeburg, is wanted on charges of failure to stop for a blue light, reckless driving, use of a vehicle without permission, and third or greater offense of driving under suspension. He was taken into custody late Wednesday night. At a hearing on Thursday morning, bond was set at a total of $10,189 for his four charges and also an outstanding warrant for domestic violence.
Authorities say during the September 17 incident, deputies spotted a Jeep Cherokee being driven suspiciously. When they stopped to investigate, the Jeep sped off leading officers on a chase that reached speeds of more than 80 m.p.h. before the vehicle crashed, according to a news release.
We’re told investigators found evidence at the site where the Jeep wrecked that indicated Miller was operating the vehicle.
