SUMMERVILLE, S,C.– Minus Bridge on US Highway 78 just south of US Highway 178 is closed indefinitely
An aerial flood advisory has been issued for Dorchester County until 12:30 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. The advisory has been issued to keep citizens alert to the hazard of gradually rising waters.
The Dorchester County Emergency Operations Center remains at OPCON 5, closely monitoring the situation.
In an effort to complete initial damage assessments from Hurricane Matthew by the end of the week, all day to day inspections, with the exception of electrical inspections (required for release of power) will be suspended until Friday, October, 14, 2016.
The below yard debris sites will be open today, October 11, 2016 – Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:00 AM – to 6:00 PM. Residents may take their leaves, shrubs, and tree limbs to Limbs taken to these sites must be no more than 8-10 inches in diameter and not more than 4 feet in length.
- Miles Jamison Road Site at 130 Suburban Lane, Summerville, SC
- Sandy Pines Landfill Site at Sandy Pines Lane, Dorchester SC
As of 2:45 PM Tuesday, 4,404 utility customers remain without power in Dorchester County.
135 roads have been reopened. 27 roads remain closed in Dorchester County.
All Dorchester District Four Schools will remain closed on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
