Local, state officials to hold news conferences on Hurricane Matthew


Watch live starting on Friday, October 7 at 10:30  a.m.  A replay of the previous news conference and on-air broadcasts will be shown prior to briefing

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) — Local and state government officials will hold several news conferences Friday in reference to Hurricane Matthew.

Governor Nikki Haley will hold a news conference at the South Carolina Emergency Operations Center. At the 11 a.m. briefing, the governor will update the public on Hurricane Matthew’s potential impact to the state.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m., tri-county officials from Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties will hold a news conference from the Emergency Operations Center in North Charleston.

In Georgetown, County officials, along with its municipal partners, will host a news conference Friday at 1 p.m. to discuss Matthew. The briefing will take place at the School District office at the J.B. Beck Center.
