Person injured following shooting in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The Charleston Police Department is investigating following a shooting in downtown Charleston.

Authorities say the shooting took place at about 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4 at Coming and Beaufain Streets.

Medics transported a male, suffering from a gunshot wound to the Medical University of South Carolina, according to police spokesman Charles Francis.
