Chipotle adds chorizo to menu for National Taco Day

After a successful test in five markets, Chipotle Mexican Grill announced it will add chorizo to the menus at all of its U.S. restaurants starting Tuesday.

Chipotle tested the spicy pork and white-meat chicken sausage at a couple of restaurants over the past few years, but never made the move until now.

Chipotle’s chorizo is seasoned with paprika, toasted cumin and chipotle peppers, then seared to the perfect char on a hot grill.

The nationwide launch of chorizo comes just in time for National Taco Day, which is celebrated each year on Oct. 4.
