MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – Boone Hall Plantation has kicked off the month of October with the opening of their Fall Festival.
The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch draws visitors of all ages from all over the state with a variety of fall attractions, events, activities, and of course, pumpkin patch fun. Last year over 40,000 people attended what has now become one of the largest fall festivals in the state of South Carolina.
In addition to the corn maze, attractions for this year include two of the largest jump pillows in the state which provide plenty of jumping fun for all ages. Attendees can board the Family Friendly Monster Hayride that winds through the “spooky” woods of Boone Hall. The Giant Slide Tower is three stories tall and features slides located on two different levels.
Other attractions include the Hay Mountain, two rock-climbing walls, a tire climb and sand pit play area, King of The Mountain, tube swings, a giant rope spider web, goat walk and rabbit enclosure, and more. Also on hand every Friday – Saturday – Sunday the event is open will be the All American Petting Zoo with a variety of family friendly farm animals on display.
This year the layout for the corn maze will be divided into two mazes. There will be a shorter maze designed for families with younger children or people who just want to have a brief corn maze experience that does not require as much walking. The larger maze covers the majority of the corn field and is one of complicated twists and turns that will present quite a challenge for the more adventurous explorers.
The corn maze and all of the attractions mentioned above are included with the price of admission. Pony rides will also be available for an additional fee with a portion of the proceeds being donated to local charities. And of course, there will be plenty of pumpkins available that are to be paid for by the pound.
The Boone Hall Pumpkin Patch and Ameris Bank Corn Maze will be open every day October 1-31. Hours of operation will be Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-6 p.m.
