(WCBD) — It’s that time of year again! Toys for Tots is collecting donations to give to less fortunate children for Christmas.
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve ‘Toys for Tots’ program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
USMC Lt. Col. Ken Glasson (Ret.) is hosting a Christmas gala, held on Saturday, December 17, at 7:00 p.m. to celebrate the hard work that goes into these collections. All proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales go directly to Toys for Tots, and a new, unwrapped toy is requested with admission.
The event includes a raffle to win a new car from Mount Pleasant Chevrolet. CLICK HERE to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win a Chevy Cruze or a Harley Davidson!

The goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
