SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – Their success hasn’t shocked anyone, but Pinewood Prep’s consistency has kept opponents off-kilter.
The Panthers starting quarterback, Jack DiMuzio, who’s regarded as one of the best in the Lowcountry, is out with a shoulder injury but his teammates have stepped up in his absence.
This past Friday night’s win over Ben Lippen pushed the Panthers’ record to 5-1, and 2-0 in region play.
Last year, Pinewood advanced all the way to the state championship game, where they lost to Hammond. But if the Panthers keep showing the grit they displayed Friday night, then Michael Wright’s team should have a chance to end their season with a win.
